Eating Bugs in Dirt!!



Mrs. Katie made bugs in dirt for a snack
( chocolate pudding with gummy worms )
the kids enjoyed it very much!!

This week is brought too you by the letter V and the number 2 and the color purple and the triangle

This week the letter V will be introduced and we will learn about its sound.
We will be using play dough during center time and making the letter V and the letter A.
We will also be using our dry erase boards and markers to learn how to trace the letter V.
We will be making a triangle art project which will consist of different size triangles and gluing them on to construction paper.
Our color this week is PURPLE please have your child wear something PURPLE too school on THURSDAY =) 
Our Bible Verse this week is: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord" Romans 12:19  
We will be tasting veggies and drawing our favorite ones into their journal.
We will be talking about the number 2 and counting 2 counting bears.
We will be practicing cutting with scissors!!
We will also be painting with Purple Paint =) 
Our star student for the week of : Sept 2nd is Alivia please bring in snacks from the approved snack list for 16 students!  Thank You

Dont forget to please send in August Tuition and $1.00 for your child's water bottle if you have not done so already!

This week is brought to you by the Letter A, the number 1 and the color red and the circle

This week will be learning the long and short letter sound for the letter A  and making ants in grass
We will be eating apples and doing apple prints. Along with reading :  Apples Apples, and  A Little Apple
We have a special project that we are doing on our first day of school that is a secret!!  You will have to wait too see what that might be =0)  We will be making butterflies from coffee filters to go with our Butterflies and Bugs Unit.   On Thursday we will be making and eating bugs in mud  { chocolate pudding and gummy worms }
We will talk about the number 1 and do a counting activity that will include a red circle and counting bears and the number 1.
We will be digging in the sand table for bugs and red bugs and one bug.
While outside we will be going on a bug hunt with bug magnifying glasses and collect some bugs and then we will discuss them.
Our Bible Verse is: " Ask and it will be given to you: seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."  Matthew 7:7
During rest time we will be listening to bible stories or classical music.
Our Star Student for next week is Carson, please bring in a snack from the approved snack list and we have 16 students.  Thanks Carson!!

Starting next week on Thursdays we will be asking your child to wear the color of the week:  Next weeks color is purple

Back to School

Summer is winding down and it is that time of year to start the back to school shopping and packing lunches and back packs.  And loading the kids into a car or bus with excitement building to see old and new friends.
Mrs. Katie and I are very excited  to meet each and every one of you and we too have a new classroom and a lot of exciting things for you to do and learn.


Open House/Orientation August 16th.  Due to the number of children enrolled we have split up the orientation time.  Anyone with the last name beginning with A-M are asked to come from 6-7 and anyone with the last name N-Z are asked to came from 7-8.    So please come and meet us both and check out your classroom and the school!! We will have a scavenger hunt for you to do that night to learn where everything is =)  

First day of school is AUGUST 20th 


School Supply List:
2 Clorox or Lysol Wipes
2 Boxes of Kleenex
1 full size back pack
1 blanket for rest time and stuffed animal (optional) full day students only
2 rolls of paper towels
A change of clothes (in case of an accident)
1 lunch box  full day students only

Just a few last minute  things to remind every one

May 15th  Fun day with ponies, inflatables, and dunking booths
May 16th  Pajama Day!!! Let your child wear his or her pajamas!!

Tuition is due  and Ms Nancy and I will be getting permission slip signed to go to main campus to practice our program.

Letter Y

It is hard to believe that the school year is almost over!! We have a lot of exciting things to do before our last day of school.

We will be starting with the letter Y and the number 13
Our nursery rhyme is London Bridge
Bible Verse  You o lord keep my lamp burning

On Tuesday is our 100th day of school and we have a big celebration planned with Miss Crystal and Miss Amy.  We will be making a castle out of 100 cups, making our own snacks, doing jumping jacks for 100 secs.  Making cereal necklaces with a hundred pieces of cereal.  using cut out footprints and counting out 100 footsteps.

we will also be making a letter Y with yarn and acting out London Bridge.

Monies are due for Pizza Fundraiser by May 9th
May 9th is also Muffins for Moms and Doughnuts for Dads so come on out and have breakfast with your child. Doors open at 815!!
May 13-15 is graduation practice and we will be going to the new sanctuary so watch for a permission slip!
May 15th is END OF YEAR FLING!!!
Pre school time is 10:00 to 11:00  we will have pony rides, face painting, a dunking booth and a duck pond game, so come on out and have some fun!! Parents are welcomed to join in the fun!!
May 16th last rehearsal  at 930 am at main campus
May 16 Graduation, please have your child at the main campus use teal door and we will be in the purple room, have students there by 6pm for line up.
