Oct 7-9 Letter Z

This week we will be learning about the letter Z and the color black and the square
We will painting our hand prints and magically turning them into Zebra's by drawing stripes with black crayons, using black yarn for a mane and black pipe cleaners for a curly tail.
We will also be using zip loc bags filled with black paint and making z's and practice zipping a variety of items.
We will be making Sally Square

 and we will also be learning the Zacchaeus song for our journal. And gluing in a coloring page to go along with the song.
Zacchaeus was a wee little man, A wee little man was he.(using both hands, make it look like you are showing the size of a very small man.)
He climbed up in the sycamore tree, the Savior for to see.
(using both hands act as though you are climbing up a tree)
And when the Savior passed that way, He looked up in the tree,
(using you fingers, make it look as though someone is walking.)
And he said, "Zacchaeus, you come down from there;
For I'm going to your house today, for I'm going to your house today."
(Start clapping your hands when singing this verse.)

In the afternoon we will be making Zinnias from cupcake liners and green paper for the stems and leaves.
We will also be finger painting with black paint and cutting out zig zag lines and gluing them on our finger painted paper to make zig zag masterpieces.
